Job Summary:

The Parts Runner supports field operations and maintenance by ensuring the right parts, tools, and equipment arrive where and when they are needed. This role combines driving, basic material handling, equipment mobilization, and vendor coordination to keep crews productive and assets in service.

Essential Functions:

1. Determined. Transport and deliver maintenance parts and supplies across the Eastern Region using a company vehicle; verify accuracy against pick lists and delivery documentation.
2. Committed to serve. Prepare, stage, and secure equipment for transport.
3. Safety always wins. Safely mobilize equipment using a non-CDL truck and trailer combination; follow load securement and DOT guidelines.
4. Dedication. Assist with daily shop organization, housekeeping, and routine maintenance to maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
5. Respect and engage. Communicate daily with vendors to place/confirm orders, track ETAs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the correct product is received.
6. Results matter. Independently plan an efficient workday and route; maintain trip logs, delivery records, and basic inventory documentation.
7. Protect family and friends. Adhere to all company, DOT, and site safety policies; perform pre/post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
2. Willingness to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card / Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional, customer-focused approach.
4. Comfortable operating a non-CDL truck and trailer; able to secure loads per best practices.
5. Proven ability to prioritize, route efficiently, and work independently.
6. Basic familiarity with parts, tools, and equipment used in construction/maintenance
7. Authorized to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position will require up to travel based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Heavy work includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, bending, squatting, walking, reaching, and repetitive motion.
