MEMBER EVENT MANAGER
We are seeking a talented and experienced Member Events Manager to join our team at FORTH. The mission of this role is to help develop and execute innovative programming initiatives that elevate and enhance the Club’s offerings and create memorable experiences for members. Reporting to the Director of Membership & Experience, this position will ensure that member events align with the overall strategy and support FORTH Club’s creative, cultural, and community-driven ethos, while driving member engagement and satisfaction. The role will also be responsible for managing the event budget, admin, tracking success, and reporting on key performance metrics. The Member Events Manager is the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and members to ensure all events are produced to the highest standards, align with FORTH Club values, and contribute to the overall business goals.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- Work closely with the Director of Membership & Experience to develop a strategic events plan, aligning with FORTH Club’s overall strategy, values, and creative standards.
- Create a quarterly calendar of events, programming diverse and innovative experiences that resonate with the FORTH community to attract and retain members.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings, and incorporate this knowledge into programming strategy and execution.
- Own the Programming Calendar to accurately track all event details and ensure all events are appropriately added in the FORTH Club App by the first of every month.
Event Production
- Plan, produce, and execute a wide range of member events every month, from intimate gatherings to large-scale parties.
- Oversee all aspects of event production from small to large, including vendor coordination, logistics, creative development, and on-site execution.
- Prepare all run-of-show, REO, and BEO documents in preparation for each programming event to receive approval and sign-off from all key stakeholders in adequate time.
- Liaise with the operations and F&B teams across outlets to ensure that programming events are seamlessly executed in line with our service standards and that all teams are properly prepared.
- Ensure all elements of event delivery are considered including event listing, copy and photography.
- Be present at important/key events through the week/evening/weekend/public holidays whilst also delegating to other departments or team members to help facilitate events where you cannot be present.
- Provide members with opportunities to engage with one another through events, while encouraging member-led event initiatives. Manage existing and new relationships with members who either run events or would like to run events, always maintaining the delicate dynamic and efficient communications.
Event Success & Feedback
- Own the monthly Member Event Report which reports on event metrics including member bookings, attendance, ticket sales, and F&B revenue generated.
- Monitor member feedback and satisfaction levels related to programming, implementing adjustments and improvements as needed to continually optimize the calendar, offerings, and partnerships.
- Support tracking of the key performance metrics, including attendance, revenue generation, and return on investment, to assess the effectiveness of programming efforts.
Admin & Budget Management
- Manage the full event budget for FORTH Club, ensuring events are delivered on time and within budget.
- Support the upkeep and maintenance of a FORTH partners/vendors centralized contact system.
- Manage all contracts, vendor forms, invoices, follow-up, and communication with Accounts Payable to ensure partners get paid appropriately and on time.
Measures of Success:
- Positive feedback from members on quality and enjoyment of programming
- Over 75% attendance rate on average
- Large name partner events that provide FORTH Club recognition on a local and national scale
- Revenue generated ticket sales on both a small-scale monthly basis (ie Supper Club) and large-scale Quarterly basis (ie Halloween, NYE, etc)
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years in event planning, production, and strategy, preferably in a hospitality
- Strong understanding of local creative communities, cultural trends, and event production.
- Demonstrated ability to create, curate, and execute memorable events that align with brand identity and community values.
- Experience managing event budgets and tracking financial performance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across various teams and departments.
- Passionate about FORTH Club’s vision and community.
Schedule
- Please note this role is not a normal 9 AM – 5 PM schedule and requires flexibility on evenings and weekends. Required to be on site when programming is scheduled.
