OUR SOUTHBRIDGE, MA. LOCATION IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK! We are seeking a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER who will enact continuous improvement and optimization projects. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team and production team to execute and deliver the highest quality products. You will work with a team to provide world-class metrics, processes, equipment, documentation, and tools to ensure our misson critical products are manufactured safely and efficiently, to meet mission-critical quality standards. In this position, you will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve optimal, manufactureable designs. A passion for process improvement is required!

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will be to:

\n
• Drive stability and overall systemic process improvements through measurement, detailed analysis and process controls efficiently and in a timely manner
\n
• Develop clear, complete documents and maintains improvements in manufacturing processing
\n
• Create and maintain process work instructions and standard operating procedures
\n
• Troubleshoot and solve process and equipment issues and proactively work to prevent issues
\n
• Support product failure investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
\n
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

\n
• 5 years manufacturing engineering experience
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline utilizing science and engineering problem solving methods
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex subjects to employees at all levels within the organization
\n
• Proficient with 3D CAD software (at the component, assembly & related drawing level) Autodesk Inventor is preferred however, comparable experience with SolidWorks is acceptable
\n
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensioning and tolerance analysis
\n
• Detail oriented with an analytical and structured approach to problem solving
\n
• Experience in data measurement, analysis, and report authoring using sound statistical analysis methods
\n
• Experience with formal validation methods such as PPAP, IQ, OQ, PQ
\n
• Experience and knowledge with automated assembly equipment
\n
• Familiarity with industrial CNC equipment & programming (HAAS, Mazak, etc.)
\n

Preferences:
In addition to meeting the basic requirements, the most successful candidate will also have:

\n
• A background in automation with a working knowledge of Allen Bradley systems
\n
• Experience with GMP, ISO, and AS9100 quality system methods
\n
• Experience with high precision presses; tooling and dies
\n
• Experience with welding/metal joining (laser, resistance, brazing, tig, etc.)
\n
• Automated inspection experience (vision systems, etc.)
\n
• Project management experience
\n
• Trained in use of Six Sigma Process Improvement methods
\n
