Position Summary:

Freestone Lake and Golf is one of our new developments and we are growing! We are looking for Fine Dining Restaurant Cooks responsible for executing precise, high-quality food preparation and presentation in a fast-paced, upscale kitchen environment. This role demands culinary skill, attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency to meet the exacting standards of a fine dining establishment.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-end or fine dining kitchen preferred

  • Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required

  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen tools, and food safety

  • Ability to follow recipes with consistency and precision

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred

Physical Demands:

Ability to work all shifts when required during the day, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Walking, standing, some lifting up to 25-50 lbs.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and plating guidelines

  • Work a designated station (e.g., grill, sauté, garde manger, pastry) with accuracy and efficiency

  • Ensure ingredients and mise en place are fresh, properly stored, and prepped ahead of service

  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen areas

  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food delivery during service

  • Follow safe food handling procedures and comply with all health and safety regulations

  • Monitor food inventory and communicate low stock or quality concerns to the Sous Chef or Chef

  • Uphold the restaurant's standards for professionalism, appearance, and teamwork
