About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of advancing public interest and social justice values in the legal profession. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, with a strong focus on fundraising, program development, and strategic planning. This role requires a hands-on leader who can work closely with the Board of Directors to refine the Foundation's strategic direction and solidify its mission within the public interest law community. The Executive Director will also be tasked with stabilizing the Foundation's operations infrastructure and strengthening its fundraising capacity, including cultivating partnerships with various stakeholders to ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. Ideal candidates for the Executive Director position at the company will have a passion for public interest law and a proven track record in organizational management and fundraising. They should be adept at building authentic relationships, both within the legal community and with diverse stakeholders, and be committed to the values of the Foundation. While a Juris Doctorate degree is not explicitly required, a deep understanding of the public interest legal space and a strong network within the community are essential. The role demands a leader who can balance programmatic expansion with operational excellence, and who is dedicated to preserving the Foundation's modest size while increasing its influence and impact in a mission-driven manner.
